HISTORY OF ROLLING THUNDER CYCLES, INC Rolling Thunder Cycles was founded in 1981. Owners Tom and Gerard had worked for various Harley-Davidson dealers for several years, and they felt that there was a need for a source of quality parts, accessories and service in the area. On April 1st 1981 they opened the store that soon became one of the best aftermarket shops around.Business was good, and Rolling Thunder Cycles moved into a new, larger store in 1989. The second store featured a showroom offering pre-owned Harley-Davidsons for sale, as well as a comprehensive Service Department and a huge Parts and Accessory Department.In the Fall of 1999, Rolling Thunder Cycles moved to across the street. The newest store features an improved and updated Service Department, as well as a more efficient Parts Department. The motorcycle showroom has moved onto the World Wide Web as a "Virtual Showroom" where dozens of bikes can be marketed to prospective buyers around the world. Proceed south on Glen Cover Road 5.5 miles. Glen Cove Road becomes Clinton Road at Old Country Road. Continue straight to Front Street. Make a right on Front Street about ½ mile to 220 Front Street on your left. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- From the Meadowbrook Parkway Exit at Southern State Parkway West, New York. Continue about 2 miles to Peninsula Blvd. North, Hempstead. The north bound exits only allow you to head north at the end of the ramp turning onto Peninsula Blvd. At the third stop light, turn left on President Street.
